How do I create a personalised schedule?

To create your personalised schedule, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the "Lineup" tab in the app
  2. Browse through the artist lineup for each day
  3. Tap the + icon next to any artist you want to add to your schedule
  4. View your personalised schedule in the "My Schedule" tab

You can also set reminders for performances by tapping on the bell next to the artist in your schedule.

If line up changes occur will this affect my schedule?

If an artist is cancelled or a time/stage change occurs your personal scehdule will automatically be updated to reflect the changes.

Does the app work offline?

Yes, the Breaking Bands Festival App has offline functionality. When you first open the app with an internet connection, essential festival information and images are cached on your device.

This information remains available offline for up to 7 days after the initial download. However, some features like updates, artist profiles, external links will require a data connection to function properly.

How do I update the app?

The app has two types of updates that will generally automatically check for updates dependent on your device settings.

In app updates are processed on app launch and in the background, you will see notifcations letting you know a change has occured.

Full app updates are processed by the app store of your device and may happen automatically or you can check manually.

  • For iOS: Visit the App Store and check the "Updates" tab
  • For Android: Visit the Google Play Store and check the "My apps & games" section
Can I share my schedule with friends?

Your schedule is personal and we don't offer a way to share it directly within the app. Alternatively you can take a screnshot of the schedule window and send that to your friends or family.

How do I get notifications about schedule changes?

The app automatically sends notifications about any changes to performances in your personalised schedule. To ensure you receive these notifications:

  1. Ensure your device settings allow notifications from the Breaking Bands Festival App

Troubleshooting

App Crashing

If the app is crashing or not responding, try these steps:

  1. Close the app completely and restart it
  2. Restart your device
  3. Check if an app update is available
  4. Ensure your device's operating system is up to date
  5. Uninstall and reinstall the app (note: this may reset your personalised schedule)

Content Not Updating

If the festival data isn't showing the latest information:

  1. Make sure you have an internet connection
  2. Restart the app and/or your device

Notification Issues

If you're not receiving notifications:

  1. Check your device notification settings for the app
  2. Ensure your device is not in Do Not Disturb mode
  3. For Android: Check battery optimization settings and exclude the app
  4. For iOS: Make sure Background App Refresh is enabled for the app
